N3XScan – Local Network Scanner
A native subnet scanner for Windows. Discover devices, IP and MAC addresses, hostnames, vendors and open services. Change history, Wake-on-LAN and N3XShell/N3XRemote integration — all local.
N3XScan — see your whole network in seconds
A lightweight native app for discovering and inventorying devices on your local network. It combines ping, safe TCP probes, reverse DNS and the ARP table to find devices that block standard echo requests. Results, history and trust labels stay on your computer.

What N3XScan can do
Automatic subnet detection
Detects the active interface and suggests a safe scan range. Choose quick, standard, deep or custom-port profiles.
IP, MAC, vendor and hostname
Combines multiple sources to show addresses, hostname, network adapter vendor, latency and the likely device type.
Services and exposure review
Recognises SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, SMB, RDP, VNC, RTSP, printers and databases, and flags services that deserve review.
History and change detection
Stores the last 20 scans locally, highlights new devices and lets you return to an earlier view of the network.
N3X quick actions
Open a web panel or RDP, send Wake-on-LAN, or copy the IP and jump straight into N3XShell or N3XRemote.
Safe operating boundaries
Scans private RFC1918 networks only, caps subnet size and custom ports, and requires neither Nmap nor administrator privileges.
Getting started
- 1Download the installer and launch N3XScan. It automatically detects your active network adapter and suggests a subnet.
- 2Choose a scan profile. Standard is the best starting point; deep checks more services, and custom accepts up to 128 ports.
- 3Click “Scan network”. Open a device to use its web panel, RDP, Wake-on-LAN, N3XShell or N3XRemote actions.
Note: the app is not yet EV code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may display a warning. Installers and automatic updates are still signed with the N3XScan updater key and verified by the app.
